Local cleaning, with Google advertising
XClean’s own cleaning code processes links on your device. This site also loads Google AdSense Auto ads, which make external requests and have separate data practices.
Local processing and external ads
The cleaner does not fetch links, resolve redirects, use an external cleaning API or deliberately upload the URLs you paste. Visiting this site loads its files and Google AdSense. Advertising scripts can make external requests; this is not a zero-network or third-party-isolated page.
Language preference and advertising storage
XClean’s own code saves only your chosen language in localStorage under xclean.language and does not keep a link history. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or other storage to serve, measure and personalize ads based on visits to this or other sites, subject to settings and applicable consent.
What cleaning cannot hide
Removing tracking parameters removes those tokens from the address. It does not hide your IP address, account, cookies, referrer or other visit data that a platform may collect when you open the destination. It does not provide anonymity or bypass platform tracking.
Hosting and clipboard
The host may log ordinary page requests. The cleaner reads the clipboard only after “Paste” and writes only after “Copy link”. Google advertising code runs separately on the same page; its data handling is governed by Google’s policies.
Check links that matter
XClean does not verify safety, availability or the destination of a short link. Signed URLs, invitation links or unusual sites can depend on parameters that look like tracking. Keep the original and test the result when access or payment is involved.
Advertising choices and consent
Google’s advertising cookies may let Google and its partners tailor ads using visits to this and other websites. Use Google’s advertising controls to manage personalization. Consent choices, where required, must be handled through the site’s configured consent platform; this notice alone does not collect consent.
Tool ratings
When you submit a rating, XClean stores your score (1–5) and a random browser identifier in its database. An essential cookie remembers your rating for up to one year, so changing it updates the same vote. The server temporarily stores a keyed hash of your connection address to limit repeated submissions. Pasted links are never sent to the ratings service.
